World of Warcraft Goes Collectible
Upper Deck have released a new trading card game based on the hugely successful online role-playing game World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft is currently the number-one online game, with more than 6.5 million players worldwide – there are over one million players in Europe alone.
In World of Warcraft, players take on the role of powerful heroes as they experience epic adventures and quest across a vast realm. The World of Warcraft TCG explores the same danger and excitement in the world of Azeroth, and gives players a chance to collect powerful cards featuring allies, weapons, and devastating attacks. The cards also feature artwork from top fantasy artists, offering a fresh take on the World of Warcraft universe.
In addition, the World of Warcraft TCG offers fans of the online game a unique feature. Players can find uniquely-coded, rare Loot cards that add cosmetic upgrades to their online World of Warcraft characters. The Loot upgrades include a custom tabard, a unique pet, and a new look for your mount.
World of Warcraft Starter Deck “Heroes of Azeroth” includes everything one player needs to join – one starter deck, two booster packs and one rulebook. Players can expand their deck with the World of Warcraft Booster Packs “Heroes of Azeroth”.
In November, Upper Deck will release the World of Warcraft “Onyxia’s Lair” Raid Deck expansion set, which offers players clever new multiplayer gameplay experiences. The limited-edition Raid Deck lets one player take the role of an epic foe that multiple heroes working together can only hope to challenge. Should the raid defeat Onyxia, the heroes win the chance to crack open the enclosed Treasure Pack and reap spoils not found anywhere else.
