Roaring two-seater planes fly over the trenches on recon missions, bombing runs, trench strafing, and daring rescues. Can you escort your planes to their targets and safely back home? Or can you prevent your opponent’s planes from striking at the heart of your forces?

These are your tasks in this third game in the Wings of War series, featuring optional new altitude rules plus anti-aircraft and machine guns. Watch Your Back! can be played by itself or mixed with Famous Aces for larger scenarios. It includes five types of planes: the Nieuport 11, Hanriot HD.1 and Halberstadt D.III fighters, and the British/American DH4 and the Austrian Ufag C.I two-seaters.

Wings of War is a game series which merges card and board game mechanics to recreate aerial combat.

Aeroplanes are represented by a single card which is used as a playing piece on any open surface; the players choose and play simultaneously movement cards to decide the actions of the fighter plane they control. Different planes use different decks of movement cards to represent their different manoeuvre capabilities, and different deck of ‘Fire’ card are used to take into account their fighting effectiveness and to keep track of damage.
