I’m here to praise Scarab Lords. Beneath its beautiful Egyptian veneer, Scarab Lords is game that gets more dramatic with every play.

Admittedly it does take a few plays of this fairly advanced game to get into it, but Scarab Lords does pay off. Your mileage will vary with how much you enjoy CCG-style play. Make no mistake, however, this game is a self-contained unit. No booster packs are required.

The components are better than the average Fantasy Flight small box game. The art work on the cards is sterling, in a Magic: The Gathering sort of vein.

If you are looking for a game to play with your ex-RPG/CCG pals, this is the real McCoy. With the controlled customisation rules and the overall chaotic nature, I guarantee you will have loads of fun.
