Reviews of Lost Cities

A great game which can played without too much serious thought if time doesn’t permit. My main reservation is that if you are dealt a ‘poor hand’ initially, it is difficult to make meaningful/strategic opening moves rather than arbitrary ones. That said, it’s usually a nail-biting race to the end and you usually end up thinking ‘If only I’d had just a couple more moves things might have been different.’

My wife and I come back to this game again and again, we can’t get enough of it!

It is a great way to spend just a few minutes waiting for dinner, or a longer time later in the evening. What makes this game special is the fact that you are not (always) being required to do a lot of “strategic thinking”.

If your mood is such, you can have just as much fun playing it without too much thought. We have worn out the cards from so much playing and so we are going to have to get another copy!!
