I’d been wanting to try H+T for some time. I really enjoyed Cartegena and H+T sounded like a race game with some added strategy. True enough!

Slow and steady or fast and reckless…which tactic will you choose?
This board game celebrates the legendary race between the hare and the tortoise – but with a twist. Each player must play both parts at different stages of the race, using ‘carrots’ as fuel – but also three mandatory ‘leaf cards’.
Sometimes it is better to race like the hare; but at other times moving slowly and cautiously like the tortoise is the more advisable option to preserve fuel. In the end, it is the best combination of the two strategies that will win the race.
