Trade and flourish in this game of 17th century settlement and economic victory

During the 17th century, Hamburg was a prospering port and trading city. With one of the mightiest European fortifications of its time, it was not attacked during the 30 years war 1618-48.

Many protestant refugees, namely from the Netherlands, immigrated, brought their skills and trade connections with them, and made Hamburg to become the biggest German city.

When approaching Hamburg, visitors were impressed by the magnificent view, dominated by six big church towers and countless sailing vessels, telling them a story of wealth and citizen’s pride.

As a citizen of Hamburg, you will be in the business of brewing beer, making cloth and refining sugar. Your ships will sell these goods abroad, owning you the money to build more ships and erect more houses. But only if you give donations for the build-up of Hamburg’s churches, you will be able to win the game!

No combat this time, players try to gain majorities in part of the city to gain more influence on the building process.
