Carcassonne: 10 Year Special Edition

Carcassonne – celebrating 10 years of the award-winning city building game

The southern French city of Carcassonne is famous for its unique Roman and Medieval fortifications. The players develop the area around Carcassonne and deploy their followers on the roads, in the cities, in the cloisters, and in the fields. The skill of the players to develop the area will determine who is victorious.

Each turn, the area becomes larger as players expand and add roads, fields, cities, and cloisters. Players may also deploy their followers as thieves, farmers, knights, and monks to control and score points for the roads, farms, cities, and cloisters. Good strategy is vital as deploying followers at the right times and in the right places can earn big points.

This great game has won many international board game awards, such as:

  • 2000 Meeples’ Choice Award
  • 2001 Spiel des Jahres.
  • 2001 Deutscher Spiele Preis.
  • 2004 Vuoden Perhepeli

This is the special 10 year edition with a bonus small expansion and in a follower-shaped box.

If you’ve enjoyed the original, why not try some of the Carcassonne expansions in the Gamestack range?
