BASARI, reprinted recently, is a fast-paced bartering game (and also a ‘rock, paper, scissors’ type of game as well).

After numerous plays, I believe that a four-handed game is best because every turn at least one action will be bartered for (or lost!). This keeps the action going.

The game of merchants, bartering and gems

Enter the street bazaar! The enticing sights, sounds and flavor of the marketplace are everywhere! In Basari players act as merchants who compete on the streets of a lucrative gem marketplace. Each round, players earn valuable points by haggling and bartering for precious gemstones. The player with the most points after three rounds wins.
