Reviews of Bagatelle
Average Score
I remember having this game as a child, sixty years ago, though not such a well constructed example as this splended version. When I saw this one I was determined to get one for my grandson for his birthday in December. His younger brother has just received A Dalek mask with voice changer (which he loves to bits, tentacles and all), but I am determined that his brother, who will be seven gets something a little more conventional, i.e. the bagatelle
I hope that as well as getting the enjoyment of seeing the balls shoot around and bounce off the myriad of pins and into one of the targets – hopefully the difficult ones with the higher score – it will encourage him to begin to add up the numbers scored with each ball and hopefully to get a correct final total. Play and learn at the same time. At least I can hope, or as it is with train sets, perhaps the adults will end up taking control.
